Privacy policy

EZ-Kea is a product of FenleyTech, a sole proprietorship based in Lufkin, Texas, United States. This policy covers this website (ezkea.com), the public demo (demo.ezkea.com), and buying a commercial license. It is written in plain language and describes what actually happens rather than the widest thing we could reserve the right to do.

The EZ-Kea software collects nothing and never contacts us. It runs on your server, edits your config, and has no telemetry, no analytics, no update check, and no phone-home of any kind. License keys are verified offline against a public key built into the application, so a licensed install works with no internet access at all. We cannot see your network, your leases, your reservations, or whether you are running EZ-Kea.

What this website collects

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-FW5CCD5JHQ) to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies and reports your approximate location, device and browser type, referring page, and the pages you view. We use it to decide what to write more of. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not run ad networks or third-party trackers.

You can block it with any content blocker, your browser's tracking protection, or Google's opt-out add-on, and nothing on this site will stop working.

Hosting and security

This site is served through Cloudflare, which acts as a CDN and protects against attacks. Cloudflare processes request metadata, including your IP address, as part of delivering the page. Our own web server keeps standard access logs.

Fonts and assets

Fonts, icons, and images are served from this domain. There are no third-party font, script, or asset requests, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you visited.

The public demo

The demo at demo.ezkea.com runs the real application against an entirely synthetic data set. It is shared with everyone else using it, it resets on a schedule, and everything in it is visible to every other visitor.

Do not put real network data, real MAC addresses, real customer information, or anything confidential into the demo. Treat it as a public whiteboard.

Buying a commercial license

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and are never sent to or stored by us. From a completed purchase we receive and keep:

  • the organization name you enter for the license
  • your email address
  • your billing address and, if you provide one, your tax ID
  • the card brand and last four digits, for matching a payment to an account
  • the subscription's status and renewal date

We use this to issue your license key, to send it to you, to invoice and renew, and to answer support and billing questions. Stripe's own handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.

Email

If you write to sales@ezkea.com or security@ezkea.com, we keep the correspondence so we can follow up and keep a record of what was agreed. We do not add you to a mailing list, and there is no newsletter to unsubscribe from.

Who we share it with

Only the services above, each doing the job it is there for: Stripe for payments, Google Analytics for site statistics, Cloudflare for delivery and protection, and our email provider for mail. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect against fraud or abuse of our systems.

How long we keep it

Purchase and licensing records are kept for as long as you hold a license and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' own settings. Email correspondence is kept until it is no longer useful.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to sales@ezkea.com. We may need to keep records of completed purchases where the law requires it, and we will say so if that applies. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour those requests on the same address.

Children

EZ-Kea is a tool for administering DHCP servers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will also be sent to the email address on the licensed account.
